Foam injection molding software Cadmould 3D-F has many new functions and improvements for simulating components, tools, and processes. The manufacturer says the highlights of the Cadmould 3D-F module are the Foam and Batch Fluctuations Button. Cadmould 3D-F Foam is able to simulate all conceivable processes of foam injection molding, including MuCell, OptiFoam, and others. The simulation takes account of the complete material behavior so that shrinkage and distortion of the foamed components can be simulated. Injection molded parts can be made without sink marks and produced with considerable savings in materials. The Cadmould Batch Fluctuations button is able to make an initial reliable prediction about how the changes in material properties will influence component properties. The user receives information on how severe a change of the batch used will influence the quality of the component.
