The disc milling cutter program of the M101 series with self-locking cutting inserts and cutting edge diameters of 80 to 200 mm and groove widths of 1.6 to 4 mm now includes a cutting edge diameter of 63 mm. The milling cutters are equipped with five self-locking inserts available in groove widths of 1.6 mm and 2.0 mm. They can mill up to a depth of 19 mm. A cylindrical shank with a diameter of 25 mm and Weldon DIN 1835 B interface serves as the holder. The AS45-grade cutting inserts are available in either a straight-cutting design with .3 geometry or a full-radius design with .E3 geometry. The geometries are well suited for standard steels, stainless steels, and titanium materials. The cutting inserts can be replaced with the lift of a clamping finger in the self-locking insert seat using a chuck key, which allows the old cutting insert to be removed and a new one to be inserted. During the process, the chuck key is held securely in the main body so that it cannot slip out. The precision-milled prism in the insert seat ensures a secure connection with a high level of replacement accuracy thanks to a stop in the main body.
